Our Taste the Difference Slow Cook British Beef Short Ribs are a richly flavoured and expertly slow cooked for maximum tenderness. Given time to cook gently, the meat becomes soft and tender while the natural beef flavour adds depth to the surrounding sauce. 200°C / Fan 180°C / Mark 6. 1 hour 30 mins
Oven cook from chilled. If freezing at home defrost thoroughly before cooking.
Before cooking: Preheat oven. Leave the pouch containing the beef short rib at room temperature for 15 minutes. Remove all packaging and set aside sachets for later use. Place the beef short rib and juices on a roasting tray on the middle shelf of the oven.
During Cooking: Baste regularly with the juices from the beef short rib. After 60 minutes remove from oven and drain off the juices. Return the beef short rib to the oven and cook for a further 30 minutes.
After Cooking: Remove from the oven, loosely cover with foil and rest for 10 minutes. Whilst the Short ribs are resting transfer the contents of the sauce sachet into a saucepan, warm over a moderate heat and simmer for 4 minutes, stirring frequently. Place the beef short ribs onto a dish and pour the sauce over. This product should be cooked until piping hot throughout.
